My mom doesn't want to get my horse's teeth done, need advise!?

We want to train my FalabellaXMiniature mare to drive. well, I'm in 4-H and thats part of it, so thats my 4-H project, to drive my horse.
She thinks that this mare doesn't require dental care. its mostly her wolf teeth that need to be either removed or grinded down.
She thinks that I can just stick a hackamore/bosal on this horse and expect it to go. She has no horse sense, I know it's best for the horse to have its teeth done, and I dont want to go in driving shows with a hackamore/bitless bridle. I want to look more professional, and I want my horse to be happier and respond better. I also want to train it to get headset, and if I can't sit on its back to get the headset (obviously) then I need to use contact, it looks better in driving to have headset and it makes the horse's muscles more strong anyways.
I dont know how to convince her! I would pay the bill or whatever I need to do, I just know that she SHOULD get her teeth done.

Well being uncomfortable from having sharp overgrown teeth and a bit in your mouth is only half of it.
Your poor horse might also be having trouble eating. If your horse is having hard time with keeping weight on, drops and wastes a lot of food, is aggitated when it comes to feeding, foams a lot or slobbers when she eats, and has a runny nose a lot of the time, then that means your pony is in pain, and needs her teeth done.
Some horses need it done every year, some less.
Either way she needs to understand it is a medical requirement for a horse, just like vaccination.
On top of that, compared to everything else you spend money on for your horse, it is a small expence to pay.
