bronze bolt fell out of steering column on grand marquis?
I am wondering where it came from and how to put it back in. It has a torq bit head on it. Probably around a t30. i took of the lower column cover a can't find anything. I can't take the top part of because the big black thing where you put the key in is blocking that.
Also and the most important part is the face that now it is VERY difficult to get the car into gear. The shifter has a ton of play in it.
Any help would be awesome. Thanks for looking.
no the bolt is one of two that hold the shifter cable bracket to the shifter arm.. it is hard to see but you get get it from the bottom. wiggle the shifter while looking under the dash and you should see where it goes
