I bought a ball-hinge snaffle bit...and i am putting it on my western bridle. do i need a chinstrap?
I'm just wondering if I need a chinstrap for it since it is an english bit and I am putting it on a western-style bridle if so, can I just hook the chinstrap to the bit along with the reins? the bit is like this:

I use chin straps just to keep the bit from pulling through on a snaffle, but not chain ones, I use the rawhide or braided ones or plain leather.
