How do I finish knitting a reversible 2 needle hat?

I used these instructions to knit a hat but the last part is confusing. I'm a beginner knitter so could someone explain to me in detail and/or possibly pictures how to finish it up. I have 5 stitches left right now. I"m guessing since its supposed to be reversible so I need to weave it close to the edge, but how do I do that without it showing.
Cut the yarn the length of your arm and thread it onto a large blunt tip needle and pick up the stitches from the needle and pull tight and take a few stitches with the needle to lock it then follow the link below.
