I bid on a headstall on ebay because I needed one for my copper o ring snaffle. It comes with a double twisted?
snaffle. What is this bit? Why would you use one and how is it different from a regular snaffle?
Instead of say, a jointed mouth piece, it has two strands of twisted wire, sometimes both jointed. I suppose it's twice the fun of a normal twisted wire bit! They're usually pretty thin, too which of course adds to the harshness.
When you get it, maybe you can burn it, in a really hot fire. Or find someone who uses them, and beat them about the head and shoulders with it. It's not a nice bit at all. Why anyone would use it...
But hey. Can you imagine a double twisted wire mouthpiece on a curb bit with really long shanks? Eww.
