What Type of Bit Should I Use ?
So lately I've been noticing my horse isn't being as responsive to the bit as he once was...
He's been in that type of bit, for the longest time.
English hes in a kimberwick i need a bit thats about 1 notch - 1.5 notch stronger ? what do i use.
western hes in a simple tom thumb snaffle with 1 (or) 2 inch shanks so i need 0.5 notch - 1 notch stonger,
What type of bit should i use ??

or if i cant find a bit what training technics can i use to get him to soften up alittle, cause hes not "hard" on his mouth but i used to hardly touch the bit and hed stop

also, Im not hard with my hands. i have very steady hands and i usually keep a soft feel on his mouth. and i dont jerk on his face either
Training is the answer not bits. A kimberwick and a Tom Thumb are actually quite severe bits. The Kimberwick is actually easier on the mouth than a snaffle but the curb chain is what makes it severe.
