Taking a sneak peek at test.... Am I overreacting?
My intern supervisor, who I have known previously and am somewhat friends with, proctors my tests from another school, for me. She is very down to earth, knows I am smart & good at my job, and really wants me to succeed. I was taking a test a few days back and she left the next unit's test laying right next to me so when I finished one test, which was a cinch, I looked through the next units test and wrote down the topics I needed to study. I felt guilty about this and am usually not a cheater. However, like the inexperienced cheater I am, I accidentally left the topic notes on her desk with the test I had just taken. I dont think she will care one bit because she always tells me to do what I have to do, but I care and am so mad at myself for giving into temptation. I plan on walking in on Monday and being like "so did you get the notes I left you?" and making a joke about it, but I am feeling soo stressed/anxious/embarrassed/angry at myself. What do you guys think?
How about telling her the truth and showing her that you are a honest person?
"If fell into temptation, I wrote down the topics I need to study and now I feel bad about it. I shouldn't have done so, but now you know so you can make changes if you want to."
She could be cool with it since you didn't write down an exact list of the correct answers only topics. If it bothers her then she can make the changes needed. No matter what she thinks about it she'll respect you for being honest.
It's like telling a parents that you've done something wrong, they will scold you because it's their duty, but they will still love you in the end.
