Which containers are preferable to keep in fridge whether plastics or metal like strainless-steel?
In India people use to use metalic vessels to store food grains in the fridges. but in western countries , they use synthetic(plastcs) vessels . So which is preferable to keep our health good and to consume less electric energy.
Glass is best, but _try_ finding an "air tight" one! I mean unless it'll fit in a lidded jar. I can't imagine a jar fitting leftovers like lasagne or apple pie.
Personally, I'd rather use plastic like Tupperware of many sizes & shapes with an air tight lid. This keeps things fresh w/o risk of glass breakage, as long as all air gets 'burped' out before that final seal is made.
