Western tack - is Royal King a good brand?
Is Royal King a good saddle brand? I am looking into one of their barrel saddles, but if anyone has a bad experience with this brand, let me know.
Let me know, also, of any good experiences you've had with this brand!
Which one did you have in mind? Overall, they look like pretty good saddles! I've never used one before, but I've heard of them and I think I rode in one once over the summer. They look like pretty good saddles! I would definitely go and check one out sometime!
If you order one online, be sure that you can try it on your horse and ride in it a bit to make sure it fits you properly and if it doesn't work, that you can send it back. Same thing goes for if you buy one out of a tack store. Make sure that it fits you and your horse for sure!
I use a Circle Y barrel saddle and really like it! At first, I told myself that I was just gonna use it for rodeo and games. But, now I use it not only for rodeo and gaming, but also for training horses, trail riding, for just riding around the farm, on my pleasure horse during off season and for training, and even in western pleasure for some smaller shows. That saddle is so comfortable! I'm never getting rid of it unless I have to! Here's the Circle Y site:

They're a bit more spendy, but their saddles are really good quality! I also use a Billy Cook western saddle and I've used Tuckers before too. Both really good brands!
Make sure to check out some local tack shops near you so that you have a number of saddles to choose from and you can try them for yourself there! Tack swaps are amazing too! Most saddles and tack at tack swaps have been used, but most of the tack there is still in awesome shape and is way cheaper than store bought tack!
