Can I lunge my horse in my parelli halter/headcoller instead of his bridle or cavesson?
Want to lunge my horse tonight but am wondering if it is safe to luncge him in it. I do ride him in it but lunch requires control. Thanks 
Halters are much easyer to lunge in than a bridle. YES its safe & it doesnt require more control. Just wear gloves ! One of my horses is veryyy spazz all the time & was fooling around one day & ripped every single bit of skin off of my hand. It hurt sooo bad. Since it sounds like you dont lunge all that much im going to tell you how to.
Get you horse straigh, pointing in the way you want him to go. Then never go at their face with the lunge rope/whip etc. Go towards their butt. So just tap his butt with the rope & he should start to go out. Have atleast ten feet slack & if he slows down throw the rope at his BACK end. GOOD LUCK
