What barrel saddle is best and why?
Okay, saddle talk today! LOL
I have a 14 yr old Billy Cook that has been thru the ringer. It has been a good saddle but I want a new one and there are so many out there. I like the Courts and the Bob Marshall. But I know there are better ones out there so, help me out ya'll.
What barrel saddles do you like and why do you like it?
Let me add, my filly is very broad!! no withers at all!! HHQH, does Ammerman fit wide horses?
auequine..thanks but my problem is that my billy cook doesn't fit my flat backed mare. It does fit my OTTB great! I'm not getting rid of it, just need to find a good one for my mare.
i own a saddle and tack store in norco,ca and there are several really nice styles you could go with.... the circle y barrel saddles are very nice you can go onto there web site to see they have alot to choose from!!! the tex tan barrel saddles are also very nice they have a good selection as well and they have the flex barrel saddles also, you can go to there web site too. if your horse has a wide back then you will definatly need the full qtr bars and they both have an extra wide tree too, just not in the barrel saddle. the billy cooks are a nice saddle but they havent changed there tree style just there name and location a few times...... tex tan and circle y both did a similar change within there companies but they did however work on and change there technology and trees so you gotta give it to them for trying to keep up with the change in times and the change into alot more stocky round mutten withered flat back big well built horses!!!! if you have any more questions feel free to contact me via e-mail or you can call.
