What is the difference?
between copper and copper pieces that arent in the mouth? I ride Western and am looking for a little tom-thumb some are really cheap, like $ 7, while others are as much as $ 45. I just want to know if the copper is something that any type of metal dosent do .... What kind of metal do you think is better? Why? ..... Is there a type of metal that I should avoid? thank you. The first is the copper keeps salivating mouth that keeps it moist. If you have a horse with a mouth sensitive, you do not need copper or soft iron. On the other hand if your horse starts to ignore the bits after a moment of riding, then they are good pieces to use. There is no metal in particular that you should try to avoid, except perhaps the chrome (solid stainless is fine and has the same appearance). The veneer may peel and it creates sharp edges that can cut the horses' mouths. I try to go Medium bit price. I not need the name of the higher bit rates and feel that I'm not there to buy a name, but I want some good for a good price.
